Notes. Hearing aid batteries are often protected by a tiny sticker. Do not remove sticker until you are ready to use the battery. There can be a very short delay (1-2 minutes) between removing sticker and a fully functioning battery. "Non stickered" battery technologies sometimes deplete rapidly when used in hearing aids.

  • This is only a tiny sample of the batteries and battery codes in current use. I have tried to concentrate on the most popular battery sizes. (There are entire websites dedicated to identifying compatible batteries.)
  • There is minimal consistency between manufacturers regarding how they name batteries, I have even seen the same code used to identify incompatible batteries!
  • New codes are still appearing for old batteries, some look very similar to existing codes.
  • It may be necessary to measure the old battery when trying to find a compatible new battery
  • There are several materials used to make batteries. The best materials normally last longer but they are usually more expensive
  • Cold conditions affect battery performance. Hot batteries can be dangerous. Consider seeking advice before purchasing batteries for use in extreme temperatures
