Ionic Chemistry
- Ion
- an atom or group of atoms that has gained or lost electrons to become a charged partice
- Ionic Compound
- A substance formed when 2 or more ions combine. Ions can combine because of teh attraction caused by unlike electrical charges
- Ionic Chemistry
- The branch of chemistry which involves Ionic Compounds
Note 2 When naming salts, you usually start with the positive charged ions e.g. Sodium Chloride (NaCl)
