• CB radios used in the UK can combine both sets of frequencies to create 80 channel rigs. These radios are not legal in most other countries.
• UK CB radios operating in the UK can legally use AM, PM, FM, SSB or DSB. However the majority of CBs will only operate on FM.
• The normal power limit for UK CB radios is 4W, However, 12W is permitted when using SSB modulation.
• The UK experimented with a 20 channel sets using frequencies around 934 MHz. However, the 934 MHz band was withdrawn and use of the few surviving sets is now prohibited
