Although this building was originally a Co-op, many visiors will remember the building as T J Hughes Department Store. Unfortunately, it had to close in 2011 when the company exprienced financial difficulties. Outline plans have been submitted to redevelop the site, which is likely to combine upper floor appartments with ground floor offices or shops.
