If you can see a black tick then browser can display ".gif" pictures

You should see 4 squares, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue and 1 the same colour as your background
Wrong red, green, blue colours can indicate a display problem/limitation
A background box colour problem usually indicates browser not showing transparent gif correctly




You should be able to see white boxes with .bmp .gif .jpg and .png labels
If any of the boxes are missing, your browser cannot show the picture type

If your browser can display animated gif, there should be a box containing a black line and the line should rotate slowly
If most of the background on this page is pale yellow, your browser accepts style sheets.
Any other colour (including black or white) indicates a CSS problem that would make most websites look very strange.
